Year: 2011
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $475.00
Project Launch:
In the small, rural community of Calderitas in San Vicente, El Salvador, there are 280 students from Kindergarten through ninth grade. They have little to do outside of school hours, limited knowledge of nutrition or fitness, virtually no opportunities for either. With the help of a $475 Kids to Kids grant through World Connect, the local government and the local Peace Corps Volunteer, Calderitas will soon enjoy monthly sports tournaments for all the neighborhood children and a variety of sports: soccer, jump rope, hula-hoop, relay races, softball, volleyball, and basketball.Explore other Projects
