Creative Computer Lab
Year: 2009
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $500.00
Project Launch:
A $500 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids program started a creative computer lab in a small rural primary school in El Salvador in 2009. The lab offers children an opportunity for creative thinking and learning. For children in this community who hope to work outside of agriculture, computer knowledge is essential and sorely lacking. This lab offers a first step for young people to expand their creative thinking skills and in the process become more competitive in the job market, helping to bridge a significant technology gap. Doing so is vital to the future development of the community. Project leaders hope to be able to expand the lab, obtain more computers, and eventually connect to the Internet.Explore other Projects
