Tuzamurane Women's Bakery Project
Project Launch: 6-30-20
The Tuzamurane women's group runs a bakery and recently opened a canteen. However, due to their lack of required equipment they are not able to obtain a license to operate legally. The group has some machinery, but most of the baking is done by hand and is time consuming. With this World Connect grant, the group will acquire a commercial grade mixer, electric oven, and refrigerator, among other kitchen tools that will support them in expanding their operations. This will also support them in acquiring a license from the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB) so that they can legally produce and sell baked goods to wider markets.
