Hathaway Brown is a K-12 independent girls' school located in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The GROW Foundation at Hathaway is a student-run foundation dedicated to funding service projects and awarding grants to support nonprofit organizations' missions. Members also participates in service projects. GROW has a partnership with Sisterhood, a local after-school girls' program in Cleveland serving at-risk adolescent girls. Together, the girls from GROW and Sisterhood picked a World Connect project focused on women's education and empowerment in Nicaragua. Hathaway raised the entirety of the funds for the project and the two groups of girls Skyped together with the Project Leader and Peace Corps Volunteer to learn about their experiences and ask questions.
