Project Educate A Kid (PEAK)
Project Launch: 9-15-21
Public schools near the Ungwan Shaba community do not have adequate facilities and infrastructure to provide children with the education they need. More opportunties for leadership and brighter paths become available to youth, particularly girls, when they have access to education. This project entails settng up a solar-powered hub in a host school, with computers and internet facilities for young children and teenager, ages 10-17, including young girls who are usually victims of child marriage. These youth will be trained in several areas: digital literacy, computer appreciation, graphic design and leadership development, which will help to reduce the chances of them being married off in the early stages of their lives.
