The 4H Environmental Summer Camp in Belize, supported with a $500 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program in 2009, attracted kids from all over Belize to participate in environmental educational project such as planting trees and plants, picking up trash, and participating in field trips to learn about environmental issues and protection of their country’s natural resources. The youth who attended the camp were taught to dispose of trash properly and pledged to continue not littering when returning home and to spread the word about the importance of a clean, litter-free community to family and friends.Explore other Projects
