Art Classes
Year: 2010
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $378.25
Project Launch:
El Palomar is a rural village in El Salvador with limited resources and finding funding for the arts is a challenge for its small local public school. A $375 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program in 2010 supported the purchasing of school supplies and art materials to enable art classes for middle school students. Their experience in learning about creativity and artistic expression not only opened their minds and increased their critical thinking skills, but also raised their self-confidence. The positive impact of this programming was felt not only on the kids but also in the wider community.Explore other Projects
