Building a better bakery
Project Launch: 1-14-16
This project will supplement a previous World Connect project, which launched a group-owned, women-led bakery in El Jicaro. After completing bread-making and business trainings, six community members opened a bakery and have been generating consistent profits. This project authorizes the group to purchase a cilindro, an important piece of equipment to make French bread, which is very popular in Salvadorian cuisine. With the cilindro, the group will grow their profits and expand their bakery business.
