The Masimbe Village Development Committee, with support from World Connect, has launched the Community Pass-on Loan Program through a $5,354.65 grant co-investment. The project targets 45 individuals in three groups, each accessing a K3,000,000 loan fund to borrow up to K200,000 per person for starting or expanding businesses. Alongside financial support, participants will benefit from peer learning and training in financial management and business development, helping them grow sustainable enterprises and strengthen household resilience.
Masimbe Village Development Committee, with support from Mudzi Connect, is implementing a Community Pass-On Loan Program aimed at economically empowering community members through small-scale business ventures. The program targets 45 initial beneficiaries, each receiving startup capital to establish income-generating activities. To date, all 45 participants have accessed loans and begun diverse enterprises, including home shops, selling cooking oil, produce, and fish. Members contributed K7,000 each as a commitment fee, fostering ownership and accountability. The project is ongoing, with loan repayments expected by December 28, 2025, and plans to expand to subsequent cohorts, ensuring broader economic benefits for the community.
