Year: 2016
Country: Rwanda
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $4,539.88

Project Launch: 1-9-17

Exodus Center is a youth vocational training school which provides re-education and social integration for some of the most vulnerable youth in Rwanda. Some of these students are orphans, experience disabilities and/or are affected by psychological problems. Currently, at Exodus Center there are no computers available for students to use and expand their knowledge through. Students are educated in the subject of technology, but lack the computers to make it impossible for these youth to implement their acquired written knowledge in technology. Therefore, the staff of Exodus Center have created and designed this project in order to develop the first computer lab at Exodus Center. Exodus Center intends on creating a computer lab that encompasses 10 functioning computers and 10 computer tables and chairs that will be used by the students and teachers within Exodus Center, as well as primary, secondary and university students outside of the center to improve the local students skills in technology, internet familiarity, website design and teacher grade tracking, monitoring and evaluation.
