Masimbe Village Development Committee seeks to construct the Chimutu-Phadwe bridge in their community. When completed, the $4,224.53 timber deck bridge will help solve mobility challenges for at least 1,102 community members who are currently experiencing mobility challenges to access basic services such as schools, markets, hospitals, and the police in their community.
Led by the community leader Steria Kamzingeni, the Chiundira Village Development Committee, in partnership with Mudzi Connect, is making strides in the construction of the Kamankodola Under-Five Clinic.. The clinic, whose structural design consists of a dispensary, waiting area and office spaces seeks to improve healthcare access for 820 children (429 boys and 391 girls) under five years old and their mothers. Once completed, the facility will provide essential health services, including vaccinations and health education, while reducing child mortality rates and protecting children from preventable diseases. Residents are eager to see the clinic become a reality, expressing hope for a safer, cleaner, and more accessible healthcare environment for their community.
In partnership with Mudzi Connect and the Masimbe community under T/A Msakambewa in Dowa, the Masimbe Village Development Committee utilized a co-investment of $4,224.53 to construct the Chimutu Bridge. This 12-meter, single-lane timber deck bridge has significantly improved mobility for over 1,102 community members, enhancing access to vital services such as markets, healthcare facilities, and law enforcement. In addition to serving the community, the bridge also provides a convenient and safe passage for livestock to cross to grazing areas on the other side.
