Construction of Nakondwa primary school teachers' house
Project Launch: 11-1-23
Chimombo Village Development Committee will use World Connect Grant to construct a teacher's house at Nakondwa primary school. The school has 12 teachers with only 4 houses only, the rest of the teachers reside outside the school compound and travel long distances to work affecting classes and student pass rate as they in most cases report to work late or absent during the rainy season. The project will contribute to addressing the issue of low performance rate among the 598 learners at this school.
Project Update: 5-31-24
The construction of a teachers house at Nakondwa primary school, led by Chimombo Village development Committee, is currently at window level. The project will also increase the number of students being selected to various secondary schools and minimize cases of theft which are rampant at the school due to high levels of illiterate youths.
