You and I against new COVID variants
Project Launch: 12-7-21
This project will lead to the installation of three permanent, public handwashing stations in the market town of Mburamazi, which has a population of 18,000 people. The handwashing stations will be at two of the public markets, as well as at the medical center. The installation will be accompanied by a public health awareness campaign through local radio broadcasting, mobilization of youth groups, and training of community health workers to be able to communicate COVID risks and the importance of mitigation measures such as social distacing, mask wearing, and vaccination. This grant will also include funding to repair the market space of a local women's cooperative, which was damaged by a vehicle accident.
