Cyclone Freddy Relief Aid Distribution at T/A Mpoto, Balaka District
Project Launch: 4-25-23
Led by Francis Chinsatsi, Global Link Concern will distribute relief items to households affected by Cyclone Freddy at Mtetemera Village in Traditional Authority Mpoto, in Balaka District. The major project activities will include identification of the affected households and purchase and distribution of relief items such as maize flour, plastic buckets, sheets and mats to the selected individuals. The project will benefit 69 households in the community and will also sensitize the individuals on the importance of relocating and building houses in disaster free zones to mitigate against the occurrence of similar natural disasters in the future.
