About this Project

The "Waters that Inspire. Chi Xot" project is an initiative driven by young people from San Juan Comalapa that seeks to create a community space where children and youth can learn, express themselves, and actively participate in water protection. The project will organize and launch a community festival focused on water as a vital and cultural element. Through dynamic activities, the event aims to introduce young people to scientific knowledge, local wisdom, and practical tools to better understand how water is managed in their municipality and why their participation is key to its conservation. The event also seeks to strengthen the relationship between youth, local authorities, environmental organizations, and artists, fostering a dialogue that has been lacking in the region until now.
