With a $500 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program in 2010, the Guaymango Girls’ Soccer Team purchased the necessary equipment and covered the costs of competitions and travel to tournaments, establishing this group as one of the first permanent girls' soccer teams in the pueblo of Guaymango. With a reliable and stimulating program, the girls who play on the soccer team improved their skills, increased their self-esteem and strengthened their ability to compete, lead, and learn. These experiences are often once-in-a-lifetime learning experiences and can have a long-term impact on the lives of the participants.Explore other Projects
