With the Be a Hero project, World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program supported two youth leadership camps for motivated and enthusiastic boys and girls, in which they learned how to be leaders in their communities and how to design and implement service project. The boys’ camp, VALOR, resulted in a school cleanup project, and the girls’ camp, ALMA, resulted in the creation of a youth-led summer program for kids. “Be a Hero!” taught the kids about leadership skills and how to work together as a team to build project for their communities. Throughout the camps, kids learned how to build trust within each other and had a great time while doing so. Be a Hero gave kids the tools to shine in their communities as skilled leaders.Explore other Projects
