Installation of Two Grain Product Processing Units
Project Launch: 12-26-19
This community organization plans to set up two processing machines, a husker and a reeling machine, to streamline cereal production. The group will make couscous, tiakry, and dried corn for porridge and distribute their products in supermarkets around the country. Currently women and girls grind the grains by hand. The installation of this equipment will create an income generating opportunity for the women, reduce school drop out for girls, and improve the quality of life for women in the community. Some of the profits from the processing activities will go toward supporting their existing soap making business.
