About this Project
Project Launch:
More often than not, children under the age of 18 come into the local health dispensary in Baolala, Kenya, with preventable diseases and infections such as cholera, stomach worms, and malaria. The health dispensary conducts public health outreach to the local schools about once a month, but unfortunately the large number of out-of-school youths are missed. In 2011, World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program supported “Kicking Out Preventable Diseases,” a project that impacted many children living under the poverty line in the rural village of Baolala, Kenya by providing important health and hygiene messages and services.
