Kinigi Sewing Project Phase 2- Equipping tailoring training graduates with tools to start earning income

Following a successful phase one of the project which trained 29 local women in Gacinyiro village, Kinigi sector, this project is the second phase of Tuzamurane sewing group, that is designed to support 29 trained youth of Gacinyiro to obtain sewing machines to go in the market and compete for income. Major project activities include renting an operations house for one year as a start up support for the group to ably establish themselves on the market, Buying of strong sewing machines for 26 Gacinyiro Tuzamurane youth so that they can leave the current sewing training center for the second cohort of needy women and youth to also be trained. As these 26 go on the market to make money, they will be putting 50% of their monthly profits aside to support the second cohort to buy their own sewing machines after their six months of training and the cycle will continue for subsequent cohorts.
