About this Project
Project Launch: 1-5-16
The majority of households in El Ahogado cook with traditional firewood stoves, which require a lot of wood and emit toxic smoke, causing respiratory problems particularly in women and children ranging from asthma to lung cancer. This project will provide 17 households with ecological, improved cookstoves, reducing the daily negative impact on residents’ health and on the local environment.
