About this Project

Mchepa Pottery will implement a $5,000.00 co-investment to expand the manufacturing of industrial ceramic products in Mchepa Village, Lumbadzi, Lilongwe. Funds will finance key production equipment, including a ceramic kiln and potter's wheel, to increase production capacity and improve efficiency. By utilizing locally available raw materials such as china clay, the project will strengthen local value addition, create employment for youth and women, and generate income for community members supplying raw materials. Increased production will enable the enterprise to meet growing market demand, reduce reliance on imported ceramic products, and contribute to local economic development through sustainable manufacturing and skills transfer.
