About this Project

Project Launch: 3-2-26

Oko Farms will expand production of their farm-based apothecary line, which transforms organically grown produce into value-added herbal beverages, medicinal teas, infused honeys, and other culinary and wellness products. The apothecary was established to reduce farm waste while increasing earned revenue through their farm stand and retail channels. Beyond product sales, the apothecary serves as a hands-on training opportunity for youth participating in their workforce development program, offering instruction in culinary skills, product development, and small business enterprise management. With growing demand from their online store customers and local retail partners, the NYC Connect grant will enable Oko Farms to invest in the equipment, materials, and production capacity needed to scale the apothecary sustainably and meet expanding market demand.
