Project Launch: 9-2-20

A community organization called Abashyizehamwe, which means “Together as one team”, is proposing a pig farming project in Mbarara Cell, Kayonza District, Rwanda. In order to address low household income and malnutrition, the community agreed to distribute pigs to 70 people who have high need. They will distribute the initial pigs’ piglets to another 70 families within the first year. Pigs will help produce fertilizer for their farms and gardens, supporting increased agricultural yields. The piglets will provide additional nutrition and income.
