Primary School Classroom Renovations
Project Launch: 4-21-20
A community in Ogun State is utilizing $4,776.57 to rehabilitate three dilapidated classrooms at United Primary School, Ilogun, Ayetoro. As the only public primary school in the community, United Primary School has experienced an influx of students, resulting in overcrowded and environmentally unsafe classrooms. Many students sit on the floor daily as there is shortage of seats and desks. In the school compound, there are three dilapidated classrooms that have been abandoned because of their poor state; the decay of floors, windows, doors and leaks from the roof have rendered these classrooms useless. This project will renovate all three of these classrooms, benefitting learning by having smaller teacher to student ratios per classroom, and reducing accidents and illness caused by the overcrowded environments.
