Sewing Project
Project Launch: 12-19-22
Funding for this project will support a group of 100 people, majority youth from Gacinyiro village in Musanze Sector, Musanze district in the Northern province of Rwanda to start a sewing business. A group of 40 youth will be trained in the first cohort and will undergo 6 months of training in tailoring. Once this first cohort graduates, a new cohort of 40 people will be enrolled for sewing training as well. This project is expected to create off-farm business for these youth who will earn income and ultimately reduce early marriages and teen pregnancies especially among girls who will find an alternative source of income for themselves and their families.
