St. Lukes Game Club
Project Launch:
A $500 grant to the St. Luke’s Game Club in the Lake Independence area of Belize, where living conditions can be challenging and resources limited, expanded the offerings of the club to local youth. With support from World Connect’s Kids to Kids program, the club now offers a variety of board games, which the students didn’t previously have access to, and students now gather more frequently. Project leaders report an improvement in student conduct and behavior and an increase in students’ self-esteem as well as increased interest in school. At the Club, students also have the opportunity to receive tutoring, guidance, peer to peer support and positive encouragement.Explore other Projects
