Empowering Women in Vanduzi, Mozambique through Chicken Farming
Project Launch:
Seeking a way to support themselves in a rural region of Mozambique following the decline of the national economy, two Mozambican women hope to create sustainable income stream for themselves and their families. This project seeks to construct a chicken coop and as well as acquire some starter chicks for these female farmers to grow their own brood. Once their first brood has matured and rendered more chicks, they hope to sell the young birds and continue to create future broods for eggs and to sire more chicks, creating a positive and consistent source of revenue which they can use to invest in their families.
