About this Project

Wonderful C. Classic Enterprise , located in Mchezi Community near the Kanengo Industrial Area in Lilongwe, will utilize a $4,728.73 grant from Mudzi Connect to expand its existing innovative waste-to-value enterprise. The project aims to transform plastic waste and locally available natural fibres, including sisal, into eco-friendly products such as sandals, reusable bags, bracelets, and other handmade products. Among other materials, the project will purchase an industrial sewing machine, manual sewing machine, and shoe-making equipment, which will help increase production and improve the quality of the products. Building on the enterprise's existing production activities and strong engagement with the community, the project not only aims to reduce plastic pollution but also to create employment and income-generating opportunities for community members.
