Year: 2010
Country: Morocco
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Environment
Project Investment: $415.00
Project Launch:
The Ecological Youth House project in the city of Ben Ahmed converted the dar chebab (or youth center) into a place where kids can learn anything and everything concerning the environment. The project was designed by kids for kids. It involved the construction of a greenhouse to grow trees, flowers and shrubs to be planted around the city. The kids who participated in this project made signs for every plant in Arabic, French and English. They also built birdhouses to attract birds to the center and bought books about the environment to be stored at the center. The larger goal of the project was to mobilize the city’s youth to improve green spaces and environmental consciousness throughout the city.Explore other Projects
