Project Launch:

A $500 grant to Forest Home Athletics in Belize from World Connect’s Kids to Kids program outfitted the boys soccer team and the girls’ volleyball and softball teams and provided skills training that improved performance, readying participants for tournaments and competitions with other youth in the area. The kids learned sportsmanship, healthy competition, team work, and gained confidence in their athletic achievements. Project leaders believe that this initiative encouraged students to lead healthier more active lives and report that many people commented on the impressive and mature sportsmanship demonstrated by participating youth and how whether these students won or lost, they always did so with a good attitude.
