Fresh from Forou: Soap Making Business
Project Launch:
Women in Forou Serere, Senegal purchase soap everyday for cooking, washing, laundry, and other daily activities. This project will support a group of women who were recently trained by a local Senegalese NGO to make three different types of soaps. With World Connect's support, the women will be growing their production and setting up sales in a neighboring village and in the local market.
Project Update
Materials have been purchased and the women have been busy making soap, which has allowed them to generate a small income. In addition to soap production, the women are being taught the health benefits of using soap, helping to improve sanitation in their community.
Testimonials
