Project Launch:

In the isolated city of Kolda, located in the south of Senegal, a large youth population with varying creative interests, such as poetry, music, and dance lack space to perform and the opportunity to connect with others who share similar interests. A grant from World Connect is helping a local youth serving organization, which plans to host a series of talent shows over the course of six months. The goal of the Kolda's Got Talent project is to generate momentum in the community behind the idea of youth performance and creativity by providing a framework and forum for young people in Kolda to express themselves and gain confidence from the experience.
