Project Launch: 8-5-19

The waste manamgent project's goal is to create a privately owned business waste collection system for the ten neighborhoods of a small city in the Diourbel region of Senegal. The daily trash collection, disposal, treatment and transformation of community waste will impact environmental and health indicators in across the community. Ten neighborhood leaders have encouraged community members to contribute to the project, both with their time and money. Thirty individuals have already attended a training on how to conduct market research and how to develop a business plan.
