Centro Escolar el Rebelde World Map
Year: 2010
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $87.00
Project Launch:
In 2010, an $87 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program supported the students of El Rebelde, El Salvador, in painting a world map on the exterior of their school. Not only did the project teach the participating students new art skills and geographic knowledge but because it was funded by kids from another country, the project showed the students in El Salvador that people in other countries were thinking of them. The vivid Centro Escolar El Rebelde world map now serves as a reminder to students about the value of becoming engaged in both the local and global communities.Explore other Projects
