Goat farming in Mutembo
Project Launch: 12-30-21
This project will support the Duhuzimbaraga cooperative in Mutembo community to launch a goats pass-on activity. 50 participating cooperative member households will build adequate housing for goats on their land, and will be trained by local experts in caring for goats and husbandry. They will establish a collection point for manure, which can be sold locally and also integrated into cooperative agricultural activities such as tomato growing. Lastly, when the goats reproduce, another 50 families will be given offspring and integrated into the project.
