Ntchisi Malenga Protected Well Water Project
Project Launch: 8-5-20
The EWS Foundation will construct and protect four open wells for a population of 1,024 people across four villages. The project will for the first time provide clean water to 148 households, reducing the incidence of water-related diseases and increasing the general health of the four communities. With these four strategically-placed access points, there will be reduced conflict and tension among women at the queue to collect water. The communities will also use the increased access to water to establish vegetable gardens, improving food security and nutrition particularly for malnourished children.
