In 2008, leaders in the Belmopan community of Belize formed a multi-school girl’s soccer team with girls between 5th and 7th grade and a grant of $300 from World Connect’s Kids to Kids program supported the achievement of this goal. This project not only fostered teamwork, healthy living, leadership skills, a sense of shared accomplishment, and healthy competition but also helped these young girls socialize across their community and make new friends from diverse backgrounds.Explore other Projects
