Environmental Club Explorers
Year: 2010
Country: El Salvador
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Environment
Project Investment: $415.00
Project Launch:
A $415 grant from World Connect’s Kids to Kids Program supported the formation of a youth environmental club in El Salvador that took nature oriented field trips, learned the importance of not littering, and gained knowledge about the different biomes and the variety of species that compose different ecosystems. Club members who were previously unaware of how their actions harmed the environment are now conscious of the consequences of their actions (i.e. littering) and are actively increasing awareness in their communities. Through this new appreciation, it is hoped that these kids will take better care of the environment and become more aware of the environmental consequences of their actions.Explore other Projects
