Shaping young minds in the High Atlas
Year: 2010
Country: Morocco
Project Status: Funded
Impact Sector: Education
Project Investment: $491.48
Project Launch:
In the villages of Azrou and Imdjarn in the commune of Tidili, Morocco, children had no productive activities to keep them occupied and could frequently be found throwing rocks at various objects or chasing each other constantly. The communities identified the construction of a pre-school as an important priority, and they set out to build it in order to provide children with a healthy head start in life. While the community handled the construction of the school, World Connect stepped in to support the purchase of desks for the school. This project made the difference between students sitting on a cement floor and sitting in proper desks to do their studies.Explore other Projects
